I am a research scientist focused on locating and characterizing methane and CO2 emission sources. I started my research career exploring the peatlands of Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula while I studied at Michigan Technological University. Now I work primarily with airborne and satellite remote sensing data, and I get to look at amazing maps of landfills and dairies every day. I received my PhD from Harvard University where I did research in the Atmospheric Chemistry Modeling Group, primarily focused on methane emissions from oil and gas exploitation.
My research areas include greenhouse gas emissions, climate policy, and data science. I work with geospatial data and satellite observations to investigate greenhouse gas emission sources including fossil fuel combustion, livestock, oil and gas production, coal mining, and landfills.
